- Vacuum erection devices are intended for use by adult men (18 years and older). These devices are commonly used by men across a wide age range, including men in their 70s, 80s, and even 90s, depending on individual health and physician guidance. This device is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age.
Why do men use penis pumps?
- Men use penis pumps to enhance their sexual performance, improve their erection quality, and confidence in the bedroom. You can use a penis pump before sexual intercourse to achieve a larger, harder erection for sex. Others use a penis pump as a regular exercise. or masturbation.
How do penis pumps work?
- Penis Pumps create negative pressure (vacuum) around the penis, which draws blood into the penile tissue. This helps men achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity.
Are penis pumps safe?
- Yes, penis pumps are safe and non-invasive. All Dr. Joel Kaplan penis pumps include a safety pressure gauge so you can control the vacuum pressure used to attract blood flow into the penis, leading to a bigger, harder erection. This ensures your safety and protects you from injury. Other penis pumps do not include pressure controls or a safety gauge. Those pumps can be dangerous and cause physical injury.
I have some medical issues, is it safe to use a penis pump?
- Penis pumps are safe and prescribed by doctors for erection health. If you have a blood disorder, penis pumps may not be a safe option. Contact your doctor before use. If you have a penile implant, you cannot use a penis pump. If you had surgery on your penis, ask your doctor when you can start using a penis pump. If you are concerned about other medical issues, contact your physician before using a penis pump.
I am not circumcised, can I still use a penis pump?
- Yes you can use a pump, it does not matter if you are circumcised.
What does penis pumping feel like?
- Penis pumping is safe and pleasurable. The suction creates a pleasurable tension around your penis. Some men use penis pumps for masturbation because it feels so good. If you encounter any pain or discomfort, just decrease the pressure. Penis pumping should be a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Why is sizing important? Do you have a universal size?
- Most penis pumps use a “one-size-fits-all” approach that is less effective, by using a rubber gasket (aka a pump sleeve) at the base of the pump. However, Dr. Kaplan developed special sizing for his pump systems to optimize results. This restriction-free design allows maximum blood flow to enter the penis, leading to bigger, harder erections. Every pump system includes a sizing option. If you are unsure of your size, check out the Sizing & Measuring Page here.. As most men are a size medium, if you do not choose a size, we will ship you the medium size. This size fits 5 - 5.5 inches erect circumference, and up to 7.25 inches in length. If you wish to buy a pump sleeve, you can choose from a few we offer.
I am having trouble getting suction with my pump system. What should I do?
- If you cannot maintain pressure in the cylinder, this is likely because you do not have a complete vacuum seal. Air is entering into the cylinder. Step 1: Ensure your skin has complete contact with the cylinder. Pubic hair may interfere. We recommend trimming or shaving. Step 2: We recommend lubricating the bottom of the cylinder and the base of your penis. This will prevent air from entering and assist in creating a complete vacuum seal, and will help avoid skin irritation. Only use water-based lubricant as other lubricants are difficult to wash and will damage the cylinder over time. Step 3: If you have the wrong size cylinder, this may prevent you from obtaining a complete vacuum seal. You may need to get a different sized cylinder.
I think my pump system is defective. How can I test the pump?
- If you cannot maintain pressure in the cylinder, and you are sure you have a complete vacuum seal, your pump or cylinder may be defective. Test Your Pump: Disconnect the pump and hosing from the cylinder. Place your thumb over and completely cover the Pump Connector at the end of the hose (which should still be connected to the pump’s Front Nozzle.) With your other hand, pump up the pressure. If the gauge shows it is not holding pressure, the pump is defective. If the pump can maintain pressure, see below. Test Your Cylinder: Connect the pump and hosing to the cylinder. Place the cylinder on a larger, smooth surface on your body, such as your stomach. Press the cylinder down gently so all sides make contact with your skin. Use the pump to increase pressure in the cylinder. If you cannot maintain pressure, air may be entering into the cylinder. Check that the Cylinder Connector at the top of the cylinder is completely screwed in, and look for cracks in your cylinder. Your cylinder may be defective.
I have some swelling and bruising when pumping. What am I doing wrong?
- When pumping, use low pressure at the beginning of your session. Wait for blood flow to enter the penis, then gradually raise the pressure. If you are experiencing discoloration, swelling, bruising, or numbness, the vacuum pressure inside the cylinder is too high. Immediately release or lower the pressure inside the cylinder. These side effects from “over-pumping” are temporary and will subside in a few days. Wait for these side effects to subside before continuing to use the pump systems.
What is the average size of a man's erect penis?
- The average erect penis measures approximately 5-7 inches long and 5 - 5.5 inches around (in girth).
